Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2017, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 8.9% compared to 2016, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.3%.

Belgium ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.3% (from 7.6% in 2012).
