Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 9.2% compared to 2015, reaching 7.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.7% (from 7.2% in 2011).
