Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2019, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 8.3% compared to 2018, reaching 5.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.8%.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 36.8% (from 8.7% in 2014).
