Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2021, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age increased by 8.6% compared to 2020, reaching 6.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.1%.

Belgium ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.3% (from 7.9% in 2016).
