At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.1% compared to 2013, reaching 20.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Bulgaria ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.6% (from 19.8% in 2009).
