At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2013, reaching 18.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Portugal ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.2% (from 17.3% in 2009).
