At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.5% compared to 2015, reaching 21.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.3% (from 20.8% in 2011).
