At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2016, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 2015, reaching 22.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Spain ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.6% (from 19.9% in 2011).
