At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.2% compared to 2015, reaching 24.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.2% (from 21.9% in 2011).
