Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2007, Bulgaria's population change increased by 3.1% compared to 2006, reaching 10.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.6% (from 8.5 in 2002).
