Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2015, Bulgaria's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 4.1% compared to 2014, reaching 25.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 85.1%.

Bulgaria ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 69.3% (from 15.3% in 2010).
