Population structure indicators at national level

In 2006, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.4% compared to 2005, reaching 28.0.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 27.7.

Bulgaria ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.3% (from 26.6 in 2001).
