Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Bulgaria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.0% compared to 2013, reaching 18.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 71.3% (from 10.9% in 2009).
