Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2023, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 2.4% compared to 2022, reaching 4.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.1%.

Bulgaria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 30.6% (from 6.2% in 2018).
