Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2024, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 2.3% compared to 2023, reaching 4.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.9%.

Bulgaria ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.2% (from 5.2% in 2019).
