Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2025, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 16.7% compared to 2024, reaching 3.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.0%.

Bulgaria ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 42.6% (from 6.1% in 2020).
