In 2016, Croatia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.5% compared to 2015, reaching 19.5%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Croatia ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.7% (from 20.9% in 2011).
