At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.4% compared to 2015, reaching 25.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.5% (from 22.3% in 2011).
