At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.1% compared to 2015, reaching 22.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.2% (from 22.2% in 2011).
