At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.5% compared to 2015, reaching 20.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Italy ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.0% (from 19.8% in 2011).
