Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Croatia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 3.4% compared to 2006, reaching 37.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Croatia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.6% (from 36.5% in 2002).
