Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Hungary's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 1.7% compared to 2006, reaching 65.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Hungary ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.0% (from 55.6% in 2002).
