At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.4% compared to 2020, reaching 13.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Cyprus ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.9% (from 16.1% in 2016).
