At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2009, reaching 12.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Cyprus ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.6% (from 12.8% in 2005).
