Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 11.2% compared to 2013, reaching 7.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Cyprus ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1156.2% (from 0.6% in 2009).
