Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 8.5% compared to 2013, reaching 9.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Cyprus ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 54.5% (from 5.9% in 2009).
