In 2013, Cyprus's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 9.8% compared to 2012, reaching 2,707.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.6% (from 2,587 in 2008).
