In 2014, Cyprus's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 12.6% compared to 2013, reaching 2,366.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.5% (from 2,504 in 2009).
