Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Cyprus's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 13.3% compared to 2015, reaching 13.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Cyprus ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 64.6% (from 7.9% in 2011).
