Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Latvia's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 2.0% compared to 2015, reaching 9.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Latvia ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 40.5% (from 16.3% in 2011).
