Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Portugal's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 11.5% compared to 2015, reaching 11.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.8% (from 13.5% in 2011).
