Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2024, Cyprus's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 15.5% compared to 2023, reaching 4.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.9%.

Cyprus ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 31.9% (from 7.2% in 2019).
