Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2019, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 6.6% compared to 2018, reaching 29.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 77.5%.

Czechia ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.7% (from 41.5% in 2014).
