Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2019, Poland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 6.2% compared to 2018, reaching 45.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 77.5%.

Poland ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.5% (from 51.1% in 2014).
