Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 24.7% compared to 2019, reaching 36.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Czechia ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.6% (from 39.5% in 2015).
