Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2025, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 2.3% compared to 2024, reaching 44.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 81.7%.

Czechia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.1% (from 36.9% in 2020).
