Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1998, Czechia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.8% compared to 1997, reaching 78.2.

Czechia ranks 18th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 76.5 in 1993).
