Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1997, Czechia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.1% compared to 1996, reaching 70.5.

Czechia ranks 17th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 68.6 in 1992).
