Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2006, Denmark's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 15.7% compared to 2005, reaching 33.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 65.0%.

Denmark ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 33.7% (from 50.1% in 2001).
