Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2013, Denmark's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 1.8% compared to 2012, reaching 47.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.8%.

Denmark ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 34.6% (from 35.5% in 2008).
