Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2014, Denmark's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 1.9% compared to 2013, reaching 48.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.9%.

Denmark ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.3% (from 43.0% in 2009).
