Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Estonia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 17.0% compared to 2006, reaching 3.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Estonia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 31.6% (from 5.7% in 2002).
