At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 14.8% compared to 2009, reaching 16.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Italy ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 26.4% (from 22.7% in 2005).
