At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 9.0% compared to 2021, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.6%.

France ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.1% (from 12.8% in 2017).
