Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, France's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.6% compared to 2023, reaching 66.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.2%.

France ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.2% (from 62.5% in 2019).
