Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, Germany's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.5% compared to 2023, reaching 74.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.2%.

Germany ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.8% (from 72.8% in 2019).
