Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, France's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.8% compared to 2024, reaching 66.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.6%.

France ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.6% (from 62.2% in 2020).
