At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2016, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.5% compared to 2015, reaching 15.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Germany ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 15.6% in 2011).
