At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.2% compared to 2013, reaching 17.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.7%.

Germany ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.7% (from 16.3% in 2009).
