At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2017, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.3% compared to 2016, reaching 15.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Germany ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.7% (from 14.9% in 2012).
